Aerospace Engineering-The aerospace engineering deals with design, analysis, construction, testing and operation of aircraft. The course is based on the fundamentals of fluid dynamic, material science, structural analysis, propulsion, electronics, automatic control and guidance.

Agricultural Engineering- Agricultural engineering deals in production, processing, transportation and storage of agricultural commodities.

Automobile Engineering- This deals with design, creation, manufacture and operations of machines relevant to automobile such as trucks, cars, two wheelers etc.

Bio Technology- Biotechnology is the combination of biology and technology and is an applied science. It deals with producing substances and compounds that is essential for well being of humans and others.

Ceramic Engineering- Study of the properties, manufacturing, design and application of ceramic materials comes under this.

Chemical Engineering- Petroleum refining, fertilizer technology, processing of food and agricultural products, synthetics food, petrochemicals, synthetic fibres, coal and mineral based industries and prevention and control of environmental pollution and the development and improvement of processes, design, construction, operation and management of plants for these processes and research in this areas.

Civil Engineering- Civil engineering is concerned with the creation of constructions. The activities involve planning, analysis, design, construction and maintenance of variety of facilities such as buildings, highways and rail roads, water ways and canals, dams and power houses, water treatment and sewage disposal system.

Computer Science and Engineering- Design and construction of computers and development of computer programmes and computer based information and control systems.

Electrical, Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering-Broad disciplines are electrical power engineering and electronics engineering. The Electrical engineering is concerned with the generation, distribution and use of electrical power and power control and instrument applications. Electronics engineering deals with the application of electronic computers, industrial electronics and instrumentation.

Energy engineering – This branch includes integrated training pertaining to the main energy issues and related problems.

Instrumentation Engineering- It deals with design, configuration and automated systems, Industries such as steel plants, fertilizer units, and refineries, power stations etc. as well as research and development units of defence and Govt. of India establishment offer employment for instrumentation engineers.

Mechanical Engineering-Design, operation and maintenance of machines and their components, mechanisms, machine tools, manufacturing systems and processes, components of thermal power systems, air-conditioning, refrigeration etc. are constituents of mechanical engineering.

Metallurgical Engineering-Extraction of metals from ores, their refining or purification and fabrication into useful shapes by casting, joining or mechanical working are the activities involved in this stream.

Mining Engineering-  This branch refers to Planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of mines, their safety and excavation and transport of minerals.

Petrochemical Engineering- This branch of engineering imparts engineering details about petrochemicals which includes gasoline, petroleum, ethane, naphtha, olefins and hydro carbons.

Textile Engineering- Textile engineering deals in textile fibres, and their transformation into yarns and fabrics.
