Entrance exams for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses

MBBS/BDS Entrance exams

1 AIPMT- CBSE conducts All India Pre Medical Test ( AIPMT)  for admission to the  government medical/dental colleges  for 15% seats reserved all over India and for 100% seats in Delhi University , BHU, AFMC and for medical colleges in states of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. It is usually held in the month of May and notifications come in December.

The CBSE holds the exam and the counselling is done by DGHS.

2 AIPVT

All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) is an entrance exam for admission to 5 year B. Vsc   courses in India. The exam is held to fill up 15% of total number of seats in Government Veterinary colleges except in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
The All India Pre-Veterinary Test is of 3 hours duration and paper consisting of 200 objective type (multiple choice and reason-assertion type) questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Eligibility for AIPVT
Students must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research.

3 AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam  
AIIMS conducts a entrance exam after 12th at National Level for admission to MBBS and other 6 new AIIMS similar institutions. AIIMS conducts entrance exam for 72 seats in the MBBS course in Delhi and 100 each in other AIIMS similar institutions.
Eligibility: Age min 17 years and max 25 years. The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have obtained min 60% marks.

4 MGIMS WARDHA
MGIMS Pre Medical Test is conducted by MGIMS ever year for MBBS course. There are 46 seats for Maharashtra candidates and 46 seats for candidates of other states.
Eligibility: Age min 17 years and max 25 years. The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have obtained min 60% marks.

5 UPMT Uttarakhand

UPMT Uttarakhand Pre Medical Test is conducted by G B Pant Agriculture and Technology University, Pantnagar for admission to state quota seats for MBBS and BDS courses in various Medical Colleges in Uttarakhand .
Eligibility: Age min 17 years and max 25 years. The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have obtained min 60% marks.

6 CET Medical Entrance Exam

CET is conducted for admission to Medical and Engineering courses in various state colleges in the state of Karnataka. This entrance exam is conducted by State government every year for free seats, payment seats and management seats for MBBS course.

Eligibility: Age min 17 years and max 25 years. The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have obtained min 60% marks.

7 MH-CET- Medical

Government of Maharashtra conduct “Common Entrance Test” MH-CET-2014 for Health Sciences degree courses (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP, BP&O and BSc. Nursing courses).

 Only those Candidates who have completed or appeared in HSC examination from institution situated in the state of Maharashtra are eligible for this exam.
 

8 EAMCET Medical Entrance Exam
EAMCET is conducted for admission to Medical and Engineering courses in various state colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This is conducted by JNTU every year for admission to Engineering, Medical and Agriculture Courses.

Eligibility: Age min 17 years and max 25 years. The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology/Mathematics and have obtained min 60% marks
